34th Annual Golf Outing Is Usual Success

The 34th annual Williamson Golf Outing was attended by 114 alumni and friends on June 3 at the Wyncote Country Club in Oxford, Pa.

Winners were: 1st place, with a team score of 60 (that’s 12 under par!), was Brian Nowrey 8W3, and guests Kris Johnson, Jim Flemming, and Tom Kershner. 2nd place, with a score of 61, went to the group of Ed Kubas 9W1, and guests John Kubas, Gene Kelly, and Steve Welsh. 3rd place, with a score of 63, was Bill Algeo 8W4, John Barnes 8W4, and guests George Tasker and Tom Algeo.

The highest score award went to the team of Ed Scarpinato 0W5, John Curran 0W5, and guest Gus Ditimo, who took it in good humor. The skills award par 3 “closest to the pin” shots were hit by Al Rosenberg 8W8, guest Kris Johnson, John Barnes 8W4, and guest Gene Kelly. The most accurate (straightest) drive award went to Tim Ingram 8W5. And, our long drive bombers were Brian Nowrey 8W3 (Junior Division) and Rick “Boom Boom”  Plewa 6W6 (Senior Division).

Many door prizes were given and an outstanding dinner buffet was served.
